Kataragama Sacred Area


 Kataragama is a place of miracles where the God Kataragama resides.I went to kataragama with my family two weeks ago.We first walked from the Menik River towards the Sacred Area on both sides of the road. We took the fruit basket to get the blessings of the God Kataragama.Coming out of it we could see a beautiful view of a group of people proving a vow.

 We went to a pooja to buy lotus flowers.Then worship on the kataragama kirivehera and Bo maluwa.We left the sanctuary taking pictures with the elephants ,giving fruits to them.next we rest it.then we took lunch. 


We left for ☝️😍beautiful Tissamaharama vehera.We did not forgot to take a boat ride on the Tissa lake near TissamaharamTo  road.Tissamaharama Temple is a temple that houses the relies of the great Buddha.Bands are played on one side of the temple while bands are not heard on the other.I worshipped that temple with great devotion🙏😍

 He was born in 1940.His full name is Arachchige Dayarathne Ranathunga.He learned institutes are Ananda Shastralaya,Colombo and college of Music .His father's name is Charls Peter Perera Ranathunga.he is a principal. Ranathunga's mother's name is  Kolabage  Dona Maslin. She is a teacher. Its also publish of 2 school in the village.She is also reported to be the first woman to present a radio program on women.
